HSE Advisor

North America Construction (1993) Ltd. is seeking a Intermediate HSE Advisor to join their Water Resource Recovery Facility project in Nobleton, ON, and their Leslie Street Pump Station project in Markham, ON. The HSE Advisor will provide guidance, support and oversight to help the Project deliver on NAC’s HSE System execution.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, and/or NSCO or equivalent designation is an asset
• Minimum 3 years' experience with occupation health and safety management
• Open to travel to various project sites across Ontario and out of province as required
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental management, applicable federal, provincial and municipal regulations/legislation and applicable Human Rights
• Experience with incident investigation, workplace inspection and job hazard analysis
• Actively participate in continuous professional development throughout the course of employment
• Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and records
• Service and team-oriented leader who pays specific attention to detail
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
• Tact, diplomacy, flexibility, listening and persuasion skills with enthusiasm and a positive, results focused attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with database applications and administration systems
