Deliver Northbridge's industry leading claims service by investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling complex property claims. Provide training and support to teams as a coach and mentor.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program
- Working towards the CIP designation an asset
- Minimum 7 years of Property Claims adjusting experience.
- Strong understanding of the Claims Handling process
- Thoroughly investigating & evaluating complex Claims
- Managing stressful calls and clearly deliver decisions
- Providing training to new hires through job shadowing sessions
- Supporting and mentoring other adjusters on the team
- Effectively managing a busy day to day schedule
- Providing a great Customer experience
- General working knowledge of claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, serious losses, and coverage questions.
- Ability to work within and adapt to PC oriented environments, including familiarity with e-mail and Internet skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with applying applicable case law/arbitration decisions and provincial legislation.
- Experience in establishing and monitoring litigation disposition plans.
- Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite
