Job Description
The Highway Patrol Electronic Technician 1 is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining basic electronic and communication equipment for the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The job requires working with various electronic equipment, wiring harnesses, and storage boxes in vehicles. The position involves working in confined spaces, exposed to high voltages, inclement weather, and other hazards.
Requirements
- 18 mos. exp. in installation, repair & workings of mobile communication equipment or vehicular electronics
- Or completion of 2 yr. technical program in electronics or radio communications
- Or completion of associate core program in electronic engineering
- Valid driver’s license required for positions requiring travel
