Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician works under the direct supervision of the SPD Manager or SPD Shift Lead Tech. Must be able to work cooperatively with other members of the Surgical and Sterile Processing Team. He or she demonstrates a sense of professionalism and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Licensure or other certifications: National certification in Sterile Processing
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Experience: None specified
- Precise Hand Eye Coordination
- Manual Dexterity Skills
- Knowledge of instruments and their assembly
- Understanding of sterilization principles
