Northern Trust is seeking a Sr Analyst, Global Economic Sanctions to join their team in Manila, Philippines. The role involves reviewing and assessing escalated sanction wire transactions, conducting quality control of sanction screening, and advising business partners on the Sanctions Compliance Program.
Requirements
- Reviews and assesses escalated sanction wire transactions that alert from the sanction screening systems
- Conducts quality control of areas perform sanction screening, to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and adherence to internal policies/procedures
- Advises business partners on the Sanctions Compliance Program and applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards
- Identifies any Compliance Sanction Risks associated with the Company’s activities
- Reviews and accesses sanction alerts related to Client screening and security screening
- Collaborates on projects with Team members, exhibiting ongoing learning and basic project management skills
- Provides additional support, functional and advanced subject matter knowledge as it relates to compliance with applicable Sanctions, rules and standards
- Serves as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
- Consults with management regarding more complex or sensitive investigations
- May lead projects and/or provide direction and train more junior-level staff
- Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of financial crimes; and carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
