Regional Design Engineer

Northland Controls is seeking a mid-level Design Engineer to support its Project Management Office by developing high-quality, client-focused security designs. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure security solutions meet customer requirements and Northland design standards.

Requirements

• Develop and maintain client design tools including template drawings, approved material lists, and design documentation.
• Design physical security solutions, including product selection and system application, under established standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the adoption of global design standards and best practices.
• Maintain design logs, client portfolios, and SharePoint sites with accurate and current design information.
• Coordinate work with the global design centre and support design schedules and timelines.
• Produce and review design packages including drawings, bills of materials, single-line diagrams, elevations, and device details.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Accurately track and allocate time to active projects using timesheets.
