Principal / Sr. Principal Modeling Simulation & Analysis Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Join Northrop Grumman's Engineering and Sciences organization as a Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Systems Engineer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement algorithms, conduct research and analysis, and design and develop complex models and simulations. Work on critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter.

What You Will Do

Design and develop complex models and simulations for inertial navigation systems, conduct detailed analysis of system performance, develop and implement algorithms, and analyze simulation data to validate models and algorithms.

Requirements

• BS degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a MS degree and 3 years OR a Ph.D. and 1 year
• Proven experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to cross-functional projects
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a focus on quality and reliability
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
