Requirements
- Evaluating blood, urine, and other specimens for acceptability for testing at outside laboratories.
- Preparing specimens for transport to outside performing laboratories following individual laboratory requirements
- Monitoring and placing supply orders for replenishing laboratory supplies from performing lab to ensure adequate inventory of materials for main hospital off-site collection sites and client sites.
- Accurately recording and document specimen information, test results, and patient data in laboratory information system.
- Maintaining organized records and ensuring data confidentiality and security.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA and CAP.
- Assisting laboratory technologists and scientists with various tasks, including sample preparation, data analysis.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations and workflows.
- Maintaining and cleaning laboratory work environment.
