Outpatient Oncology Clinical Dietitian II Specialist - Part Time

Role Overview

Northside Hospital is seeking a part-time Outpatient Oncology Clinical Dietitian II Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be a Certified Specialist in a designated specialty area, responsible for preparing and implementing nutritional care plans for patients. They will work closely with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments to provide nutritional counseling and support.

What You Will Do

The Dietitian will prioritize patients at high risk, initiate supplements and snacks, and incorporate current evidence-based research into clinical practice. They will also provide nutritional counseling to patients, families, and others as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition related subject matter
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia
• Specialized training with the indicated specific population
• Certified Specialist as recognized by appropriate governing body
• Competent and efficient use of computers
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult/parent (and/or children as needed) education principles
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Greater than or equal to one (1) year’s experience in clinical dietetics with specialized area of expertise needed
