Associate Dean for the School of Science and Math

NorthWest Arkansas Community College seeks an Associate Dean for the School of Science and Math to assist the Dean in maintaining and enhancing academic quality, including faculty recruitment, curriculum development, and accreditation. The Associate Dean will work with faculty, program areas, and other units to ensure high-quality academic programs and initiatives.

Requirements

• Masters degree from accredited institution in a field represented in the School of Science and Math
• 5 years experience in higher education
• 2 years experience in teaching at a post-secondary institution
• Ability to read, analyze, and understand complex documents
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to complex problems
• Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies
• Ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables
• Ability to solve problems in novel situations
• Ability to work in a professional office setting with a moderate noise level
