Job Description
The music instructor is a full-time position responsible for developing and implementing the syllabus, evaluating student performance, record-keeping, and related activities. Essential duties include assisting with athletic bands, conducting concert band, teaching applied percussion, and recruiting prospective music majors.
Requirements
- Master's degree in music
- Teaching experience in K-12 schools (instrumental music)
- Professional performance experience as percussionist
- Experience with designing and installing marching band field show sound systems
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with students
