Job Description
The Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for responding to requests for cost estimates, accurately collecting payment, and ensuring accurate financial records. The position involves working with patients, guarantors, and internal teams to resolve inquiries and secure payment.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- At least one year of prior medical billing, payment posting, coding, or surgery estimating experience
- Healthcare information systems experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification with AAPC (preferred)
- Some payment posting or billing experience (preferred)
