Lead Data Engineer

The Lead Data Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company will work on development, automation, TOIL elimination, incident response, root cause analysis, and monitoring improvements. They will lead efforts to implement site reliability engineering framework for cloud infrastructure, design and develop integrated monitoring solutions, and build and maintain data storage solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• 5 years of experience as a software engineer or in a related occupation
• AWS Glue
• AWS Cloud
• Terraform
• Lake Formation
• Databricks
• Python programming
• Informatica PowerCenter and Power Exchange admin and development
• Relational Databases (DB2 LUW, Redshift, MySQL) and shell scripting
• DevOps, CICD and Git
• Open Table Format (Iceberg & Delta)
• Power BI
