Software Engineer

The Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company will support critical applications and collaborate with product management, engineers, and designers to enhance and modernize technical applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field
• 5 years of experience as a software engineer or in a related occupation
• DB2, JCL, COBOL, PL1, CICS, RDBMS, VSAM, MQ Series, and Host Scope
• Analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions and infrastructure implementations
• Ticketing systems including ServiceNow, TFS, Cherwell, and Remedy
• Jira for sprint events, Dashboard creation, and defect logging and tracking
• Agile scrum methodologies for software development lifecycle
• Daily standup, Backlog grooming, Sprint Planning, Retro, and Demos
• ChangeMan source control and CI/CD practices
