IT Network Engineer

Northwood is looking for a Sr. IT Network Engineer to lead the deployment and operations of their IT systems and global ground network. The role requires deep technical engineering, hands-on project execution, and a strong sense of ownership. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to meet ambitious timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in systems administrator or network engineering
• Deep understanding of the OSI model and networking standards
• Experience building and troubleshooting fiber optics networks
• Ability to code in Python, C++, or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with IPAM tools (E.g. Netbox or other)
• Experience implementing and operating hybrid networks (on prem and cloud)
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, servers, and other common rack components
• Experience working in, or leading, a real-time network operations environment
• Experience in building and maintaining databases or ticketing systems (e.g., PowerBI, SQL, or JIRA)
