Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Recognized program from a post-secondary institution leading to a diploma or certificate and including a formal internship in practical training
• Professional qualifications actually required for the position
• Specific training or certificate in support for the required health care needs of the position
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Knowledge of the stages of growth and development of the child and the young
• Good interaction and establishment of positive relationships with children and young people
• Knowledge of atypicalities
• Basic knowledge of computer applications
• Good communication skills
• Positive behavior management strategies
• Problem-solving skills
• Positive contribution as a member of the school community
• Knowledge of confidentiality and respect for privacy protocols
