Clinical Leader Operations, 6 Link Inpatient Unit

The Clinical Leader Operations role supports the efficient and effective operation of 6 Link Inpatient Unit by assisting with the planning, organization, and directing of clinical care consistent with the IWK Health Centre's philosophy, objectives, and vision. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, and experience in pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Nephrology nursing. The successful candidate will model professional nursing practice, foster a positive work environment, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Registered, or eligible to be registered, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required
• Current successful completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support Level (BLS) Program required
• Minimum Five (5) years clinical experience in pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Nephrology nursing required
• APHON Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider Status required
• Certification in peritoneal dialysis delivery required
• Oncology and/or Nephrology certification or enrollment in certification process is an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team required
• Demonstrated visionary regarding trends in pediatric care
• Demonstrated expert critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients/ families, colleagues, and community partners
