Psychologist (Masters) - Forensic Sexual Behaviour Program - Mental Health & Addictions

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Psychologist (Masters) to work in the Forensic Sexual Behaviour Program, providing assessment and treatment services to adults who have crossed legal sexual boundaries. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Clinical Lead and provide empirically supported assessment and treatment services, including group treatment, risk/needs assessments, and supervision of practicum students.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology
• Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners and in good standing
• Minimum of two years related clinical experience
• Minimum of two years research experience
• Knowledge and experience with recidivism risk assessment tools and psychometric tests
• Demonstrated skills in DSM diagnosis and effective self-care and stress management
• Experience in a forensic setting, particularly with those who have committed sexual offences
• Competencies in other languages (Mi'kmaq, Arabic, or French preferred)
