Radiological Technologist - General Imaging

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Radiological Technologist to join their team at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment. The position requires a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology, Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
• Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
• Previous CT experience is preferred
• Previous experience is an asset
• Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
• Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
• Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
• Comprehension of the technical language to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
