School Counsellor - Provisional, KickStart Graduate Employment Program - Cundletown Public School

We are seeking eligible teachers with dual qualifications in education and psychology to join the KickStart Graduate Employment Program as a School Counsellor. The program offers temporary full-time employment, professional support, and supervision to complete provisional psychology internship, and a comprehensive onsite training program. Upon successful completion, participants can apply for permanent School Counsellor roles within the NSW Department of Education.

Requirements

• Full approval to teach in NSW Department of Education schools
• Completion of required psychology studies with available transcripts
• Provisionally registered psychologist or eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
• Demonstrated understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people
• Training and/or experience in counselling and assessing children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and liaise with stakeholders
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
• Unrestricted provisional or full driver's license
