Agentic AI Engineer

NTT DATA is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to join their team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will design and build agentic AI systems for multiple domains, including healthcare, finance, and retail. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience using Python-based AI systems, GenAI, and traditional ML, as well as full-stack experience and Azure cloud experience.

Requirements

• Design and implement agent-based AI workflows for different domains
• Combine GenAI, ML, and systems engineering to create AI agents that interact with machines, data streams, and enterprise systems
• Build full-stack applications (Python APIs, AI services, UI dashboards)
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI systems in Azure
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate medical workflows into agent logic
• Integrate with EHRs, data lakes, and healthcare systems (FHIR/HL7 exposure preferred)
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy domains
• Strong learning mindset and adaptability
• Ability to explain AI decisions to non-technical stakeholders
