Software Engineer, Performance Tooling and Infrastructure

Nuro is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Performance Tooling and Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industry software engineering experience, strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in C++, and experience building data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization. The role involves developing, integrating, and evolving the Performance Simulation Platform, a hybrid benchmarking system, and working with various teams to translate performance analysis needs into robust infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in C++
• Experience building data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization
• Deep comfort with Linux systems, including configuring kernels, debugging boot issues, writing systemd units, and managing bare-metal infrastructure
• Experience setting technical vision and roadmap for a project or platform, driving alignment across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to treat AI as a core part of the engineering workflow, using agentic tooling across the development lifecycle
