Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer 3 (NSSS Component Analysis) performs design and stress analyses of pressure vessels, reactor vessel internals, and/or primary equipment supports in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III and applicable regulatory requirements. The role is available for remote work within the contiguous United States, with travel as required for business needs.
Requirements
- Performs and documents evaluations of components to the rules and requirements of Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
- Utilizes ANSYS finite element software and CAD packages
- Interprets scope and project requirements
- Acquires, maintains and develops training qualifications
- Interacts with co-workers and other disciplines to promote effective coordination of design activities and resolution of technical problems
