Job Description
The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) design engineering organization generates technical requirements and associated design parameters for the modular advanced light water reactor (ALWR) NSSS. Utilizing proven state-of-the-art methodologies NSSS components are engineered to nuclear industry standards. The person in this position will perform a range of activities associated with the design, analysis, and manufacture of pressure vessels, related components, reactor vessel internals, and/or supports in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), Section III, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Prepare and review engineering specifications, reports, and other documentation
- Maintain and revise computer-aided design (CAD) models
- Utilize the results from BPVC Section III evaluations to optimize component design
- Collaborate with peers in different organizations
- Review design work of other groups
- Speak to the design of NSSS Components in discussions with manufacturing partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
