Job Description
The Facilities Mechanics–BMS Technicians are responsible for routine maintenance, preventative repairs, and emergency repairs of hospital equipment. This includes HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and coolants, as well as medical equipment. The role is critical for ensuring the efficient operation and stability of the hospital facility. It is a Facility/Maintenance position and the mechanical skills of the position are considered within the mechanical trades.
Requirements
- Performs routine repairs on all building automation controls systems, including air and exhaust systems.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning material or parts on equipment, documenting material usage.
- Operates and maintains equipment, verifies unit performance and documentation.
- Cleans and organizes the shop area.
- Complete work orders and time sheets accurately.
