Job Description
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope of practice. They collaborate with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver healthcare services. The Registered Nurse assesses patient needs, care plans, implements, and evaluates medical and nursing regimens according to hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- Current and unobstructed New York State Registered Nurse (NY Hospitals)
- Current and unobstructed Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT Hospitals)
- New graduates awaiting licensure at the discretion of the Chief Nursing Officer (CT only)
- American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
