Resident Engineer

Role Overview

NV5 is seeking a Resident Engineer to support our work in Fresno, California. The Resident Engineer will be responsible for contract management, administration, and coordination on projects of various sizes and types. They will have full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating construction engineering documents.

What You Will Do

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for monitoring assigned staff, analyzing complex construction/design problems, representing projects/clients at meetings and conferences, and implementing on-site procedures to assist staff in performing their work.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a California Professional Engineer (PE) License, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy civil transportation projects. They will also have relevant past work experience performing field engineering tasks of increasing responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy civil transportation projects
• Caltrans construction methods and practices, minimum of 5 years' experience
• Relevant past work experience performing field engineering tasks of increasing responsibility
