Design Director, Sweaters

NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a Design Director to lead the Women’s Sweaters category across the discount channel business, combining strong technical knit expertise with a sharp fashion perspective and a deep understanding of the contemporary market.

Requirements

• Establish and drive the creative vision and seasonal direction for the Women’s Sweaters category
• Design and develop trend-driven knitwear
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers
• Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Marketing teams
• Research and interpret market trends, yarn technologies, and knit techniques
• Oversee the creation of detailed tech packs
• Participate in fittings
• Collaborate closely with mills and vendors
• Manage timelines and workflow
