Job Description
We are seeking a Metallurgist who will focus on conducting research and executing methodologies for fabricating a wide variety of material forms using stable isotopes. The position is part of the Enrichment Science and Engineering Division and serves the nation by advancing enrichment technologies and providing enriched stable isotopes products.
Requirements
- Develop, research, and execute methods of processing materials unique to extremely high-value isotopic material
- Collaboration on the development of targets for advancing enrichment technologies
- Broad lab equipment usage
- Perform fabrication and reductions of stable isotopes
- Prepare reports, presentations, and operator aids or guidelines on research activities
