We are seeking an experienced Surface Grinder to join our skilled machining team. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist who takes pride in precision work, blueprint accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Inspect parts prior to grinding to identify chips, cracks, or defects
- Set up and operate manual surface grinding equipment to tight tolerances
- Verify workpiece dimensions against blueprints and specifications
- Inspect parts received from other departments for accuracy and quality
- Review blueprints and identify inconsistencies or potential issues
- Fixture parts and develop manufacturing methods for complex components
- Diagnose and correct equipment or process issues using prior experience and test tools
- Provide input on process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Accurately record job times and production data
