Job Description
The primary purpose is to ensure immediate response to problem situations and effective resolution of all real and potential outages on a complex large-scale mainframe including its peripheral equipment and network hardware and software.
Requirements
- Monitor WebSphere MQ and Application Server to identify/isolate problems.
- Monitor systems utilizing various monitoring tools including Omegamon/Omegaview, Tivoli ITCAMS, CICSplex, and ABEND Aid to identify/isolate problems.
- Monitor DB2, Oracle, and IDMS database subsystems to identify/isolate problems
- Recommend dynamic changes to CICS region setting to correct or contain CICS problems
