Medication Access Specialist (Medication History Technician) - OMC Baton Rouge Pharmacy - Full Time, 7 Days on / 7 Days off

We're seeking a Medication Access Specialist to assist providers by ensuring patients' compliance with medications, lab monitoring, and medication therapy adherence. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, medical intake, or healthcare employee working with medications, and a Medication Therapy Management Certification or NHIA Reimbursement training. The role involves communicating with patients, families, and healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate medication history information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, medical intake, or healthcare employee working with medications
• Medication Therapy Management Certification or NHIA Reimbursement training
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical mathematics
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate standard pharmacy and office equipment
