Requirements
- Use minimally invasive, catheter-based techniques to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, neck and spinal cord
- Acquire and examine patient clinical history, perform physical examination, choose, order and perform appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Consult with physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ families concerning treatment and care
- Refer cases to specialists as indicated, maintaining continuity of care
- Provide medical direction to healthcare staff and assist in developing and implementing education, training and in-service programs for the healthcare staff
- Maintain patient records according to hospital policies and procedures
- Remain a member of the active staff of hospitals
- Provide call coverage
- Travel to worksites in Lafayette weekly
