Physician - Neuroendovascular Surgeon

Requirements

• Use minimally invasive, catheter-based techniques to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, neck and spinal cord
• Acquire and examine patient clinical history, perform physical examination, choose, order and perform appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Consult with physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ families concerning treatment and care
• Refer cases to specialists as indicated, maintaining continuity of care
• Provide medical direction to healthcare staff and assist in developing and implementing education, training and in-service programs for the healthcare staff
• Maintain patient records according to hospital policies and procedures
• Remain a member of the active staff of hospitals
• Provide call coverage
• Travel to worksites in Lafayette weekly
