Registered Nurse-Cardiac Step Nights

We're looking for a Registered Nurse to work in the Cardiac Step Nights department at Ochsner Health. The successful candidate will have a Registered Nurse Diploma, current RN License in the state of practice, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. They will be responsible for using the Nursing Process to deliver patient care, assessing learning needs, and implementing teaching strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, good organizational and time management skills, and be proficient with Windows-style applications.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse Diploma
• Current RN License in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Certification in clinical specialty area (preferred)
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good time management skills and self-directed
• Demonstrates good judgement
