Requirements

• Registered nurse diploma
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Certification in clinical specialty area (preferred)
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with patients, family, and other groups or disciplines
• Adaptability to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, communication style, and introduction to the patient
