Administers anesthesia to patients during surgical and other pain producing clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician. Works in a collaborative model with residents, fellows, and staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
