Job Description
This job is a Registered Nurse (RN) position in Orthopedic Surgical Services at Kings Hwy in Shreveport, LA, working PRN (as needed). The RN is responsible for providing patient care, leading and directing the nursing team, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The job requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and a current RN license in the state of practice. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and certifications in clinical specialty areas. The RN must be able to work independently and make sound judgments, and must be knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- 2 years as a Registered Nurse
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Certification in clinical specialty area
