Application Engineer

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our team at Oerlikon Balzers in Jundiaí/SP. The Application Engineer is responsible for technically leading the implementation of products from all segments with high volume or strategic relevance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Metalworking, or related fields)
• Postgraduate or Master's degree will be considered a differential
• Advanced English for technical interaction with regional and global teams
• Experience in applied engineering in manufacturing, preferably in an industrial environment with strong process control and project governance (e.g., POM, APQP, or similar)
• Familiarity with coating and surface treatment processes will be considered a differential
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Ability to work on multivariate manufacturing challenges, structuring technical plans to mitigate risk and ensure repeatability
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel for technical data analysis
