Job Description
The Criminal Justice Counsel assists the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission in researching, developing, and recommending effective strategies relative to criminal justice issues. The position involves conducting legal and non-legal research, writing memos and documents, and providing legal advice on Commission matters.
Requirements
- Law degree, membership in good standing of the Ohio bar
- Two or more years relevant experience in the criminal justice field; prior experience in the Ohio Court System strongly preferred
- Exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the Commission's work, procedures, and research
