Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Correction Officer to maintain control of the institution, supervise inmate activity, and ensure safety and security of the facility, inmates, staff, and general public. The role requires enforcing rules and regulations, operating security controls, and conducting inmate counts and searches.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
- Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
- Correction officer assessment or previous certification in position of correction officer
