Job Description
The Psychiatric/DD Nurse will perform general nursing and psychiatric care, including administering medication and treatments, assisting in physical examinations, and documenting vital signs. The nurse will also observe and evaluate client behavior and psychiatric symptoms, and assist in feeding, grooming, and self-care. The nurse will work with the interdisciplinary team to complete a functional client health needs assessment and nursing plan of care.
Requirements
- Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio
- Knowledge of professional nursing procedures, psychiatric or developmentally disabled nursing, employee training & development, state & federal regulations, policies & procedures as related to nursing, public relations, counseling
- Ability to deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables, write meaningful, concise & accurate reports, demonstrates physical fitness
- Skill in operation of medical equipment
