Nursing Clinical Leader - Medical Unit 6 (Nights)

The RN Clinical Leader provides leadership and coordinates the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the program services within area of responsibility. They assure quality, service, and satisfaction goals are met, and collaborate with department leaders to manage daily operations.

Requirements

• 75% Clinical Operation/Supervisory duties
• Serves as a direct care provider when needed
• Coordinates interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes
• Directs, delegates, and/or engages in treatment of patients and families
• Serves as a central resource person and maintains open and accurate lines of communication
• Creates efficient schedules for interdisciplinary staff and patients
• Participates in recruitment activities
• Performs staff development
• Acts as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary staff members
• Participates on unit and hospital-based committees and initiatives
• Performs departmental audits
• Rounds daily on patients and/or associates to observe and obtain information
• Provides real-time feedback and coaching to associates
• Assists the direct manager with maintaining and identifying budget needs
