Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a physician in a convenience care setting. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with a clear, unencumbered Oklahoma PA/NP license and 2 or more years of experience in public health, community health, or an outpatient setting.

Requirements

• Plans and provides comprehensive Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner services to clinic patients
• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures
• Records physical findings and formulates a plan and prognosis
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment
• Instructs patients in health education and prevention
• Discusses the case with the physician and other health professionals
• Refers patients to an appropriate specialty for further care
• Maintains adequate records detailing patient care activities
• Assists medical staff in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care
