Senior Solutions Engineer at Okta. Work alongside the sales team as the technical and domain expert to help customers understand the value of Okta's solutions. Develop, position, and demonstrate product-specific solutions during sales cycles.
Requirements
- 8+ years pre-sales engineering experience and solution selling
- Passion to serve the customer, demonstrated in a customer-facing role
- Ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around a technical topic
- Deployed apps in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel)
- Experience with at least one standard network security protocol (OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP)
- Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
- Hands-on experience in web development, backend development, scripting, or one of the following areas (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks, Java, C#, Node.js, Python, Bash, Powershell, Perl)
- Understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
- Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with Sales counterparts to guide execution excellence
