Bilingual Parents Educator

Olathe Parents as Teachers is seeking a highly qualified individual to provide services to families with children prenatal to age 5 residing in the Olathe School District. This position will implement the Parents as Teachers curriculum and provide education to families in the form of personal visits, group meetings, screenings, and connections to a network of resources for parents and children.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related field
• Valid driver's license, vehicle, and car insurance
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills (bi-lingual Spanish preferred)
• Ability to establish a positive rapport with families
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well within a team structure and meet deadlines
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• High degree of motivation, responsibility, and confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability in compiling and organizing data
• Highly collaborative team player
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
