Trailer Technician 2nd Shift

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs of company equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellence, with a passion for hands-on work and a willingness to learn and grow.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Experience working as a maintenance technician or equivalent education
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (when required)
• Working knowledge of most systems located on a truck/truck tractor, a semi-trailer or converter dolly
• Ability to troubleshoot and do failure analysis of some of the component parts and systems on the truck or truck tractor; or the component parts and systems of the trailer or converter dolly
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to work on any piece of rolling stock and associated equipment as directed by the company
• Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 100 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
