Chemical Application Engineer

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our Support Team, providing technical support to customers across multiple industries, including oil & gas, water treatment, and critical materials. As an Application Engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues to diagnose complex support issues, develop reproducible process models, and translate OLI's deep electrolyte chemistry into practical guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
• 2-3 years of industry experience in upstream oil & gas, refining, water treatment, or related chemical process industries
• Practical understanding of electrolyte chemistry, aqueous systems, or chemical process simulation (OLI, Aspen, or equivalent)
• Comfort independently troubleshooting software issues, debugging model errors, and following technical problems through to resolution
• Strong communication skills - effective speaking and technical writing
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily technical work; curiosity about applying AI to streamline support workflows and content creation
