Job Description
Omitron is seeking an Astrodynamics Engineer to join our Colorado Springs team to develop astrodynamics services in an AWS cloud environment and provide engineering support for the Joint Commercial Operations (JCO) program and integration efforts with the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS).
Requirements
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: None required at hire; candidates must be willing and eligible to be submitted for a US Government security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in astrodynamics, including orbital mechanics and conjunction assessment
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python, MATLAB, Java, or equivalent programming languages
- Experience with software development and integration using GitLab and AWS
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce technical documentation
