onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Environmental Health and Safety team as an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer.
Requirements
- Collaboratively meet with managers and employees at all levels to review and set goals to drive EHS improvements and ensure compliance
- Lead site personnel in team environment to drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions to address incidents, injuries, and trends as needed
- Track and report on environmental health and safety metrics and key performance indicators monthly
- Lead EHS team in maintaining a constant state of audit readiness for compliance and ISO14001/ISO45001 certifications
- Manage the development of effective EHS programs and training based on needs assessments involving key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards involving safety and health, emergency response teams, environmental, industrial hygiene, and EHS related permits
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's regulatory compliance assurance process through overall direction of the EHS programs
- Collaborate with site team to develop and implement solutions for unsafe acts and conditions that are identified on an ongoing basis
- Plan and prepare with the assistance of EHS staff the completion and submittal of EHS required reports and permit applications by established due dates
- Establish and lead continuous improvement teams to drive EHS initiatives and goals as needed
- Interface with regulatory agencies relative to inspections, inquires, and permit renewals as required
