Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is seeking a Business Planning Specialist for a 12-15 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, collecting, analyzing and reporting data to support organizational plans and objectives. The role will involve working with division and department leadership, as well as other stakeholders, to identify, document, plan and measure department performance objectives, business cases and business plans.
Requirements
- College diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Business Intelligence or other related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with strategic planning and business analysis
- Experience in business operations, program management, finance or marketing
- Experience with continuous improvement planning and implementation
- Experience with business case development, business planning and business report writing
- Knowledge of Ontario’s transportation policies and regulatory landscape is preferred
- Advanced skills with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication with the ability to conduct presentations
- Organizational, planning and time management skills
- Analytical, strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
